Rock Prospectors: series will "hunt" for new talents in the genre.

The program already has a premiere date and promises to reveal new gems of Brazilian rock.

Billed as "the world's first rockstar hunt," the series Garimpeiros do Rock premieres on October 1st at 7 PM on Canal Bis and the Globoplay streaming service.

Despite many saying that "rock is dying," especially in Brazil, this program aims to prove otherwise. Traveling across nine Brazilian states and two American states, the presenting duo Orlando Custódio and Paulo Baron will seek out, listen to, and evaluate new artists who are not yet on the radar of the music industry. Together, they will guide these talents so that they can achieve their goals.

Who are the "rock prospectors"?

The program is hosted by Orlando Custódio, musician and founder of the Red Records label, and Paulo Baron, owner of Top Link Music, one of the largest rock concert producers in Latin America, and businessman.

They will, respectively, discover and filter the bands. Those who are approved in this process may gain transformative opportunities, such as participating in a major festival, having a hit on the radio, and everything else that a complete management team can provide.

And it doesn't stop there: the production features numerous illustrious figures from the national and international rock scene. The list includes Dee Snider of Twisted Sister , Rudolf Schenker of Scorpions , Tarja Turunen , Liminha , Angra , and Ney Matogrosso . These guests will also give their feedback on the artists "discovered" by the presenters, further enriching the episodes.

Which bands will be participating in the program?

Each of the eleven episodes will be dedicated to a different band. The audience will get to know Sioux 66 , Corazones Muertos , Two Wolves , Macumbazilla , Demonia , Two Step Flow , Electric Mob , Zaka , Gangrena Gasosa , Jambalaia and Medjay .
